Rashtriya Military Schools are a well-known chain of schools that proved first-class education to deserving students across the country. Rashtriya Military Schools give admissions to candidates eligible for class VI and IX through a Common Entrance Test (CET) and for class XI the admissions are based on the board result of class X. Common Entrance Test (CET) takes place by the end of December and the results are out in a month. The session begins in the month of July. The Rashtriya Military School preparation for Class VI consists of subjects such as Mathematics, English, Intelligence Test and, General Knowledge and Current Affairs. The mathematics section consists of 50 marks and qualifying marks percentage is 40%.

The Rashtriya Military School preparation for class IX consists of five subjects/sections, Mathematics, Hindi, English, Social Science and Science. Each section has a weightage of 100 marks making it a total of 500 and the minimum percentage to qualify each section is 50%. Aspirants ought to score well in order to pass the Common Entrance Test. The questions will be based on automated Optical Mark Recognition (OMR). The candidates who pass the written exam then have to go through an interview containing a weightage of 50 marks for class IX and 20 for class VI, after which the final merit list will be made.
