| SELECTION PROCESS | The Indian Army selects candidates for post of Territorial Army in two stages |
STAGE 1 : Computer-Based Test (CBT) Candidates must take an online screening exam consisting of 100 objective-type questions (100 marks total) covering Reasoning (40 questions), English (30 questions), and General Knowledge (30 questions). | |
STAGE 2 : Candidates who qualify the CBT are called for a rigorous multi-day Service Selection Board (SSB) interview.
Stage 3: Document Verification Recommended candidates from the SSB must submit official paperwork, including proof of age, educational certificates (graduation and above), and proof of gainful employment (salary slips/service documents). Stage 4 – Medical Examination Finally, shortlisted candidates undergo a comprehensive medical and physical fitness evaluation at a designated Armed Forces Clinic to ensure they meet the rigorous physical standards required for the military. |
Selected candidates : Selected candidates will get their joining letters and will have to report for Training, after which they will join the Indian Army as Soldier in Territorial Army. They will be enrolled in departmental Territorial Army units such as railway, IOC, ONGC, telecommunication and General Hospital, and the non-departmental Territorial Army units of infantry battalions and ecological battalions affiliated to various infantry regiments.

Educational Qualification : Graduate from any recognized university. Gainfully Employed. (Central Govt. / State Govt. / Semi Govt. / PSU / Pvt. Sector / Self Employed / Own Business) |

PROCEDURE FOR SELECTION

Document Verification : Candidate who qualify in Territorial Army Commission exam (CBT) are required to bring the following documents in original along with self-attested copies at the time of SSB Interview
Candidates will be required to produce all certificates, in original, at the time of interview by Service Selection Board |

Merit List :
- The male and female candidates will be placed in separate order of merit on the basis of the total marks secured by them in the territorial commission examination and in the SSB tests.
