About CAPF (AC)
CAPF (AC) officers serve to maintain the unity and integrity of our nation. They work to maintain internal security of the nation. UPCS conducts CAPF (AC) Exam every year to induct grade ‘A’ officers for the post of Assistant Commandants. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates to serve the nation.

| SELECTION PROCESS | UPSC selects CAPF Assistant Commandants in three stages |
| Stage 1: UPSC CAPF (AC) Exam is usually conducted in the month of August. | |
Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Examination | |
Stage 3: Interview / Personality Test |
Selected Candidates: Candidates who clear all the three stages and make into the merit list will receive their joining letters and report for training at the respective training centres. After completion of Training they will pass out as Assistant Commandants in CISF, CRPF, ITBP, BSF, SSB, and Assam Rifle.
Eligibility Criteria

| Educational Qualification : candidate must have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Physical Qualification : Height – (Men) – 165 cm, (Women) – 157 cm Chest – 81 cm (With 5 cm minimum expansion) (Not applicable to female candidates) Weight (Men) – 50 Kg, (Women) – 46 Kg Candidates can read the required physical qualification in detail in official notification. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Stage 1 : UPSC CAPF (AC) Exam is conducted offline once every year. The Exam will have two separate papers. Paper pattern is as follows

Stage 2 : Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Examination.

| Stage 3 : Candidates who qualify stage 2 will be called for Interview / Personality Test by Union Public Service Commission. The interview / personality test will carry 150 marks. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Document Verification : Candidates are advised to carry these documents in original along with two attested photo copies at venue, failing to do so might result in rejection. Please carry the following documents –
