Sailors in the Indian Navy are recruited in various capacities such as Artificer Apprentices, Senior Secondary Recruit, Matric Recruit, Non- matric Recruit and musician. The selection process has three steps, the written exam comprises of English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge for Artificer Apprentice, Senior Secondary Recruit and Matric Recruit. The duration of the exam will be 60 minutes. Whereas, for the non-matric entry the question paper will comprise of two subjects; Mathematics and General Knowledge and the duration will be 40 minutes. The candidates who clear the written exam are called out for medical and physical tests. The candidate should have good physique and excellent mental health to pass the exams.
