Indian Army Technical (Soldier Technical) is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of important military equipment. Indian Army conducts recruitment rallies every year to select candidates for the post of soldier technical. Selected candidates : Selected candidates will get their joining letters and will have to report for Training , where after training they will join the Indian Army as Soldiers Technician. They are enrolled in Corps of EME, Corps of Signals, Army Air Defence (ADD), Artillery and Armoured Corps.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria for Indian Army Technical ( Soldier Technical )
| AGE : Unmarried male candidates of age 17 ½ to 23 Years. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Educational Qualification : The applicant should have studied and passed Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English in class 12th. Minimum aggregate score of 50% and minimum 40% marks in each subject is required. If applying for Soldier Technical (Technical Arms, Artillery and Air Defence) along with class 12th requirements candidates should also have three years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering) from a recognized polytechnic institute. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Physical Qualification : Height (min.) – 165 cm (Subject to residing state and ARO), Weight (min.) – 50 Kg, Chest (min.)– 77 (+5 cm expansion).Relaxation in physical standards will be provided to candidates coming from North Eastern States and Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Additional Relaxation might be granted to wards of service men/ex-servicemen/war widow and exceptional sports person. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Physical Fitness Test (PFT) : Candidates meeting physical standards will progress to Physical Fitness Test of Stage 1 of selection at rally site. The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is Qualifying in nature. They have to clear 1.6 km run, Beam Pull Ups (minimum 6 pull ups), 9 feet Ditch Jump and crossing a Zig-Zag Balance. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Medical Examination :Candidates clearing the Physical Fitness Test will appear for medical examination. Indian Army wants candidates who are physically fit and mentally strong. Medical Examination will include test for vision and hearing, knock knees, bone deformity, hydrocele, varicocele, piles and other diseases. Unfit candidates will have to appear at MH/CH/BH/GH for specialist review. | ||||||||||||||||||||
Document Verification : Candidates are required to carry documents which will be verified at the Rally Venue. Candidates need to carry the following documents in original along with two attested photo copies at venue, failing to do so might result in rejection. Please carry the following documents-

Written Test : Candidates qualifying Stage 1 will be called to appear for Common Entrance Examination (CEE).The paper will be Objective in nature and printed both in English and Hindi. The paper will have of 50 questions maximum of 200 marks (each question carrying 4 marks) to be attempted in 1 hour. Paper will have negative marking and 1 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer, whereas no marks will be deducted for not attempting the question. With 80 as minimum passing marks. Paper will have questions from following sections
Merit List : Final merit list is prepared on basis of marks obtained in written examination as stage 1 is only qualifying in nature. |
