About AFCAT
Indian Airforce commands an arsenal of state of the art air crafts, modern weaponry, advanced communication systems that make it indomitable in sky. Indian Airforce conducts AFCAT Exam twice every year to induct Officers in flying and ground duty branches. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who wish to join the Indian Airforce and serve the nation.

| Age : For Flying Branch (AFCAT and NCC Entry) unmarried male and female candidates of age 20 to 24 years. For Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) unmarried male and female candidates of age 20 to 26 years. |

| Educational Qualification : Technical Branch: Candidate must have a degree from a recognized university in the field of Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. For Flying Branch, a Graduate Degree with minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 level are required. Non-Technical Branch: Graduate Degree (min. three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. |

AFCAT ONLINE EXAMINATION : AFCAT Exam is conducted online twice a year. The paper is objective in nature consisting of 100 questions to be attempted in two hours. Paper pattern is as follows
Marking Scheme : Each question holds 3 mark, awarded for every correct answer. There is negative marking, and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. No marks are deducted for not attempting the question. |

Stage 2 SSB Interviews : Candidates clearing the online examination will get their SSB Interview call up letter. SSB Interview is 5 day long process conducted at Airforce Selection Boards (AFSB).
Candidates clearing the SSB are called recommended candidates and stay back for Medical Examinations. |

Document Verification : Candidates are required to carry documents which will be checked at AFSB Centre. Candidates are advised to carry these documents in original along with two attested photo copies at venue, failing to do so might result in rejection. Please carry the following documents –
