UPSC – CAPF
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the CAPF exam to recruit deserving candidates for the posts of Assistant Commandant (AC), Sub- Inspector and Constable. The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) consists of seven forces the Assam Rifles (AR), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), National Security Guard (NSG), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The CAPF 2021 preparation needs strategic study and hard work as it is tough to crack.
CAPF – Exam Pattern
The CAPF 2021 exam will consist of a written examination, physical fitness test, medical test and personal interview. The CAPF written exam has two papers.
- Paper-I is that of General Ability and Intelligence.
- Paper-II for CAPF is that of General Studies, Essay and Comprehension.
Tips for Preparation
Here are some tips to prepare for the CAPF 2021 exam:
Paper-I:
This paper consists of questions related to general mental ability, general science, current events, Indian Polity and Economy, History of India and India and World Geography.
- Candidates must be fully aware of topics such as logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude and numerical ability and data interpretation.
- Candidates should have all the basic scientific knowledge. Therefore, one must be observant of his surroundings and keep an eye on the issues related to biotechnology and the environment.
- Aspirants must watch and read the news regularly in order to know everything about the issues related to national and international interest.
- Topics such as arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and developmental issues, industry, business and globalisation are of great importance in the CAPF 2021 exam.
- Candidates must be aware of the physical, social and economic geography of the country and the world.
- Focus on All India Radio (AIR) news analysis, Lok Sabha TV and Rajya Sabha TV debate etc.
- To crack this section, practice quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning daily, with more stress on numerical ability and data interpretation.
Paper-II:
This paper will have questions from the English language.
- The essay has the maximum weightage in this paper, hence, one should practice writing a good essay on global issues.
- The most common topics of the essay are the Indian independence movement, Geography, Polity, Eeconomy, human rights issues, etc.
- Candidates must read English newspapers to increase both their knowledge as well as vocabulary.
- Candidates are advised to develop their language proficiency for this paper.
- Brush up on all the rules of English Grammar and keep practising precise writing.
