About Sainik Schools
Sainik Schools are fully residential, co-educational institutions that follow the CBSE pattern of study. Without any doubt, they are one of the best educational institutions in the county. Every year, lakhs of children dream of making it to Sainik School, but only a few can make it. The Sainik School Society, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, runs and manages these schools. At present, there are 33 Sainik Schools operational in India. In March 2022, the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, approved 21 new Sainik Schools across various states of India. These are known as New Sainik Schools (NSS). In this post, we throw light on the AISSEE 2025 eligibility criteria laid down for admission to classes 6 and 9 for the academic session 2025-26.
Sainik Schools are one of the most prestigious educational institutions in India. These schools train kids to join as officers in the Indian Armed Forces. They academically, physically, mentally, and emotionally prepare and groom kids so that they are ready to become officers in the Indian Defence Forces – Army, Navy, and Air Force. Sainik Schools offer military training to instill discipline, physical fitness, leadership skills, and a sense of patriotism among students. This includes activities like drills, shooting, obstacle courses, and adventure training.
AISSEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Class 6
- Age: A candidate should be between 10 and 12 years as of 31 March 2025 for admission to Class VI, i.e. he/she should have been born between 01 April 2013 and 31 March 2015 (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2025-26.
- Gender: Admission for Girls is open for Class VI. The age criterion is the same as that for boys. In their best interest, candidates must check the availability of seats for girls. The number of seats available for girls in any particular Sainik School is mentioned in the information bulletin. The information bulletin is released as soon as the NTA releases the admission notification.
AISSEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Class 9
- Age: A candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31 March 2025, for admission to Class IX, i.e. he should have been born between 01 April 2010 and 31 March 2012 (both days inclusive) for admission to the academic year 2025-26.
- Gender: Admission to Class IX is open for girls.
- Educational Qualification: He/she should have passed the Class VIII exam from a recognized school at the time of admission.
How to achieve sureshot success in AISSEE 2025?
The NTA will conduct the AISSEE 2025 exam in January 2025. The ideal time to start preparation is one year before the exam so that students get a full year to prepare and polish themselves.
