During AISSAC (All India Sainik School Admission Counselling) 2024, candidates need to exercise the choice of 9 Sainik Schools in order of priority. The first choice is always the Sainik School entered during the online registration process. - Choice 1 Sainik School (Mentioned during online submission of application)

The software will first guide you on whether you will get your first choice of Sainik School or not and in which round of E-Counselling, the first choice of Sainik School is available for you. The color code scheme will help you easily identify the suggested choices. Green highlights the suggested choice, red highlights the Sainik School that the candidate will not get as per his/her details, and orange highlights the non-availability of seats in a particular Sainik School in a particular round.
The above status shows that Choice 1 Sainik School Chittorgarh is not available in round 1 as marks scored by the candidate (262) are less than the cutoff marks (267) but the candidate can get this school in rounds 2, 3, and 4 of E-Counselling.
Suggested 9 Choices to fill during E-Counselling
Then Saarthi will suggest 9 choices of Sainik Schools to the candidate that has cutoff less than the marks obtained by the candidate. These are 9 suggested choices by the Saarthi software based on marks scored by the candidate. The software also mentions the priority of Sainik School based on marks and number of seats. The school with more vacancies is listed as a priority.
