What is Army GD (General Duty)?

Army GD involves basic infantry work and ground-level defense duties. Under the Agniveer Yojana, candidates are selected for a 4-year service commitment, with the possibility of a permanent job. Eligibility Criteria for Army GD 2026 Exam

Age Limit:

  • Unmarried male candidates aged 17 ½ to 21 years can apply for the April 2026 online CEE. Candidates born between 01 October 2005 to 01 April 2009 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification:

  • 10th with 45% aggregate marks and 33% marks in each subject.
  • For boards following a grading system, a minimum of a D grade (33-40 marks) in individual subjects or a grade that contains 33% and an overall aggregate of a C2 grade.

Physical Standards (May vary by region):

Chest 77 cm + 5 cm expand
Weight Proportional to height and age

Medical Criteria:

  • Good mental & physical health

  • No deformities or major visual/hearing defects

Salary (Agniveer GD) – 4-Year Contract

Important Dates for Army GD 2026 Exam (Expected)

  • Notification: Feb 2026

  • Online Exam (CEE): April 2026

  • PFT & Medical: July 2026 onwards (Dates will vary region-wise)

  • Final Result: One month after PFT and Medical

Documents Required at the Centre for Army GD 2026 Exam Online CEE

Candidates need to carry the following documents/articles to the exam center:

  1. A printed copy of the e-admit card
  2. Original photo ID proof
  3. 2 recent colored passport-sized photographs
  4. Water bottle (Transparent)
  5. Ballpoint pen

Candidates need to carry the following documents/ certificates in original with two attested photocopies to the rally site:
