AFCAT 2 2021 Notification
The Indian Air Force has released the notification for the AFCAT 2 2021 exam. This is not just a job opportunity but a silver lining during these tough times. Indian Air Force has released the AFCAT 2 2021 notification to recruit commissioned officers for Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches and grant of PC/ SSC for NCC Special Entry Scheme (For flying branch) and Meteorology department of the Indian Air Force. Candidates who wish to serve the nation can apply from 01 June 2021 to 30 June 2021 on https://afcat.cdac.in. Candidates can fill a total of 334 vacancies for different posts through AFCAT Entry, NCC Special Entry & Meteorology Entry.
Eligibility Criteria
- Marital Status: Interested candidates below the age of 25 years have to be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course. Widows or Widowers, married and divorcees below the age of 25 years cannot apply. Candidates cannot marry following the date of their application. Even if they succeed at SSB (Services Selection Board ) or medical level, they will not be counted eligible for training. Married candidates above the age of 25 years are eligible to apply. However during the training period they will not be provided married accommodation and they can not live out with their respective families.
- Age Limit: The age limit for different branches of AFCAT 2 2021 is different. For Flying Branch, interested candidates must be between 20 to 24 years old as on 01 July 2022 i.e. he/she must be born between 02 July 1998 to 01 July 2002 (both dates inclusive). Candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) will get a relaxation in upper age limit up to 26 years i.e. born between 02 July 1996 to 01 July 2002 (both dates inclusive). For Ground Duty, both Technical and Non-Technical Branches, candidates must be 20 to 26 years old as on 01 July 2022 i.e. born between 02 July 1996 to 01 July 2002.
- Nationality: The nationality criteria to apply for AFCAT 2 2021 is that a candidate should be an Indian citizen as per the Indian Citizenship Act, 1955. Candidates who have migrated to India before 1955 are not eligible to apply.
