The Indian Navy is a sea of opportunities for every young man who puts the country before himself. The Indian Navy was originally founded in 1612 as the East India Company’s Marine to protect the British merchant ships in the region. In 1830 the British Indian Navy was titled ‘His Majesty’s Indian Navy’. It was renamed, the Royal Indian Navy in 1934. Again, in 1950, when the country became a republic, it was renamed as Indian Navy. Once a candidate passes the written exam he needs to report at the allotted Navy SSB centres to become an officer in the Indian Navy.

NSB Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu:
The Naval Selection Board Agrani is the selection centre situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This board takes interviews for candidate opting for the Indian Navy. Usually, candidates for 10+2 cadet entry for the Indian Navy are interviewed here.

12 SSB at SCS Bangalore, Karnataka:
This Navy SSB centre is known as the Selection Center South, is situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. This centre takes the SSB interviews for the Indian Army as well as the Indian Navy. 17 SSB and 24 SSB are for Army and one board i.e, 12 SSB is for the Navy. Candidates applying for different types of entries for Army and Navy such as the Combined Defence Service Exam, Naval entries, 10+2 B.Tech etc. can get this centre.

33 SSB at SCC Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh:
This SSB Selection Centre Central is situated in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It takes SSB interviews for the Indian Navy and the Indian Army. There are three boards of the Indian Army located here in SCC, which are 20 SSB, 21 SSB and 22 SSB and one board for the Indian Navy that is, 33 SSB. Candidates applying for Combined Defence Service Exam, National Defence Academy, Naval entries can get SSB in this centre.
