JNV Entrance Exam Postponed
The Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya has postponed the Navodaya School Entrance Exam 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test 2021 was scheduled for Saturday, the 16th of May 2021. The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti will soon release the new date for the entrance exam. The entrance exam for Navodaya School takes place to give admission to rural students who have passed 5th class and seeking admission in 6th.
The Navodaya School entrance exam will be a two-hour long test. The timing will be 11:30 am to 01:30 pm and there will be 3 sections with objective type questions only. There will be 80 questions for 100 marks. An additional time of 15 minutes is given for reading the instructions.
Therefore, the candidates will have to report latest by 11:00 AM on the date of the exam.
Exam Pattern
The 3 sections for the Navodaya school entrance exam are:
- Mental ability Test
- Arithmetic Test
- Language Test
There will be a total of 80 questions. 40 questions of 50 marks from Mental ability, the duration will be 60 Minutes. 20 questions of 25 marks from the Arithmatic section, the duration will be 30 Minutes. 20 questions of 25 marks from the Language section, the duration will be 30 Minutes. Thus, making it a total of 100 marks.
The Entrance exam for Navodaya Schools is known as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is an autonomous institution that functions under the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India. These schools function in various districts of the country. Registration of students to apply for the entrance exam takes place through online mode.
Stages of Examination
The Navodaya school entrance exam takes place in two steps:
- Step I: Online Registration.
- Step II: Submission of Personal Details (including uploading of Images)
Candidates are required to keep the scanned copy of the candidate’s signature, parent’s signature, candidate’s photograph and class V certificate (Size:10-100 KB in .JPG/.jpg format) ready before filling up personal details for the Navodaya School entrance exam.
