JNV Entrance Exam for Class VI
The JNV Entrance Exam 2021 Class 6 was to be conducted by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti just like every year. This time the exam was scheduled for May 16 but it got postponed due to ongoing Covid-19 situation. Candidates who are studying in class 5th were eligible to apply for the JNV entrance exam class 6. There are few things that everyone must keep in mind for future references.
Exam Pattern
The medium of exam in JNV entrance exam 2021 Class 6 is English, Hindi and regional languages. In the selection test, there will be a total of 80 questions worth 100 marks. Candidates will have a duration of 2 hours to solve the question paper. The JNV entrance exam takes place in offline mode through OMR sheet.
Question Paper
The question paper for JNV entrance exam class 6 consists of three sections:
Mental Ability Test
Arithmetic Test
Language Test
Each candidate gets a single test booklet that comprises of all above mentioned three sections. Differently-abled students get an additional time of 30 minutes.
Mental Ability Test:
Questions in this section are based on figures and diagrams. This section is meant to assess the general mental functioning of the candidates. This section is divided into ten types having 5 questions each.

Arithmetic Test
The main purpose of this test is to judge the candidates’ basic competencies in the Arithmetic section. All the Twenty-five questions in this section will be based on 15 topics.
1. Number and numeric system.
2. Four fundamental operations on the whole number.
3 Fractional number and four fundamental operations on them.
4. Factors and multiple including their properties.
5. LCM and HCF of numbers.
6. Decimals and fundamental operations on them.
7. Conversion of fractions to decimals and vice-versa.
8. Applications of number in measure length, mass, capacity, time, money etc
9. Distance, time and speed.
10. Approximation of expressions.
11. Simplification of Numerical Expressions,
12. Percentage and its applications.
13. Profit and loss.
14. Simple interest.
15. Perimeter, area and volume.
Language Test
The actual purpose of this test is to assess the reading comprehension of a candidate. This test consists of three passages. Each passage is followed by 5 questions. Candidates must read each passage carefully and answer the questions. Along with this, there will be 10 questions to test the grammar and writing skills of a candidate.
