About BSF

The Border Security Force(BSF) is India’s border guarding organization on its border with Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is one of the five Central Armed Police Forces of India. The BSF was raised on 1 December 1965 in the wake of the 1965 War “for ensuring the security of the borders of India”. The BSF had 25 battalions in 1965. Now, it has 192 battalions with a strength of approximately 270,000 personnel. To further strengthen its forces, BSF has issued notification for the BSF Constable Tradesman vacancy. The question paper for the BSF Tradesman examination consists of 4 sections, namely, General Knowledge, Elementary Mathematics, Analytical Aptitude, Language (Hindi/English). Each section consists of 25 questions. Each question carries 1 mark. The total weightage of the examination is 100 marks. The duration of the exam is 2 hours.

It is an OMR-based test consisting of Multiple Choice Questions. Candidates are required to mark their answers in the OMR sheet using blue/black ballpoint pen only.
