Exam Centre:
Candidates must appear for the selection test at the examination centre allotted to them on their respective Admit Cards. Candidates are not permitted to appear at any other centre. They can not change their centre in any circumstances. Admit card is a must to be carried while entering the centre. The admit card is issued by the Principal of the respective Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
Language:
The language or medium of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance exam will be the medium through which he/she is studying in Class-V. Each candidate will be given a test booklet in the language that he/she had mentioned in the application form as well as on admit card. Candidates must ensure that the correct medium is written in the form and admit card.
Composition:
A test booklet consisting of the 3 sections will be given to each applicant. The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance exam will be a two-hour long test from 11:30 am to 01:30 pm and will have objective type questions only. There will be 80 questions for 100 marks. An additional time of 15 minutes is given for reading the instructions. Therefore, the candidates have to report before 11:00 am.
Weightage:
The first section of Mental ability will have 40 questions and have a weightage of 50 marks. The duration will be 60 minutes. The second section of the Arithmetic test will have 20 questions for 25 marks. The duration will be 30 minutes. The last section will have 20 questions for 25 marks. The duration will be 30 minutes. Making it a total of 80 questions for 100 Marks to be completed in 2 Hours Duration.
