The routine of students here is well set and no deviation is acceptable at all. Let us have a look at the daily routine of students at Rashtriya Military School. The routine itself gives an idea about the quality of life and standards of discipline followed at RMS.

The daily routine observed is as follows:

Morning

06:00 AM to 06:30 AM – The day starts with some physical activity as a fit body is a prerequisite for a healthy mind. There is a famous saying that says “A healthy mind rests on a healthy body”. This is very true indeed. To keep the mind healthy, the body has to be physically very fit. And, these kids are future officers of the country, it is important that they are physically and mentally fit.

07:30 AM to 08:00 AM – This is the breakfast time. Cadets of RMS get a very healthy and nutritious breakfast to start the day on a very healthy note. The breakfast menu is prepared keeping in mind all the nutritional requiremenrts of the students.

08:30 AM to 08:50 AM – This is the assembly time wherein all students gather at a single place to offer prayer to the almighty. They thank God for what he has given to them

08:50 AM to 01:30 PM – This is the time period for academic activities. Students have to attend regular academic classes during this period.

Afternoon

01:45 PM to 02:15 PM – This is the lunchtime slot. Students get a healthy, nutritious, balanced meal that takes care of their nutritional and health needs. Besides nutrition, the management takes care to maintain enough variety also so that students don’t get monotonous lunch.

02:15 PM to 04:00 PM – This is the quiet period that gives students sufficient time to relax their bodies and mind. They can sleep, and remain indoors during this period.

Evening

04:00 PM to 05:30 PM – Outdoor period as it is called, it gives students an opportunity to play outdoor games or indoor games in the club. As I said earlier, RMS takes very good care of the physical health of children. This period is allocated to games and clubs to keep students fit according to the needs of the future. After all, future officers of the country have to be physically fit to shoulder the responsibility of serving the motherland.

06:00 PM to 08:00 PM – After playing and relaxing their mind and body, this is another period for academics which is known as the evening preparation time. Here, the students engage in academic activities like homework, projects, etc.

Night

08:00 PM to 09:30 PM – Diner time where students get an opportunity to sit, relax, and enjoy dinner with their friends. RMS maintains high standards of hygiene, variety, health and nutrition for its children. It is home away from home for kids in terms of quality and variety of food.

09:30 PM to 10:30 PM – No matter, how much teachers teach you, self-study forms a very important part of your routine. The daily routine gives kids enough time for their self-study.

10:45 PM – At this time, the management turns off the lights and the kids go to sleep. Sound sleep is very important to maintain good health. Hence, RMS gives adequate sleep time to its cadets to relax their bodies and mind. With proper sleep and rest, kids are able to give a good fresh start to the next day.

Conclusion

Hence, we can say that RMS offers an extremely good quality of life that balances all aspects like academics, health, food, nutrition and discipline. This is what separates RMS from other educational institutions. Students strive hard to get admission to RMS for the sake of the quality of life and discipline that it offers to its cadets. This helps the students a great deal in achieving the dream of passing out from RMS, selection in NDA and serving the Indian Armed Forces as officers.
