The Indian Navy is the naval branch of the Indian Armed Forces. The honorable President of India is the Supreme Commander of the Indian Navy. To further strengthen its forces, the Indian navy has released a vacancy notification for 200 posts of Matric Recruits (MR). Who is eligible?
- Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed Matriculation Examination from any Board of School Education recognized by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
- Age Criteria: Candidates should be born between 01 Dec 1999- 31 May 2005 (Both dates inclusive).
- The minimum height standard for male candidates is 157 cms and for female candidates is 152 cms.
How to apply and important timelines for Navy Agniveer MR Vacancy Released?
To apply for this vacancy, candidates have to apply online using the official website of the Indian Navy http://www.joinindiannavy.gov.in/
Online applications are open from 25 July 2022 to 30 July 2022. There is a very short application window, hence don’t wait for the last date. Fill out your application at the earliest to avoid last-minute rush and server problems. Offline application is not acceptable at all.
Selection Procedure
Candidates have to go through the following stages of the recruitment procedure:
- Shortlisting of candidates: Shortlisting of applications will take place on the basis of the aggregate percentage in class X. The number of vacancies allocated for each state is different. Candidates are shortlisted in the ratio of 1:4 of the number of vacancies. Say, for example, there are 25 vacancies in a particular state, then 100 candidates will be shortlisted for the written examination.
- Written Test: Shortlisted candidates need to appear for the written examination.
- Physical Fitness Test – Candidates clearing the written test need to go through the Physical Fitness Test (PFT). For male candidates, the PFT consists of a 1600 m run that a candidate needs to complete in 6 minutes and 30 seconds, immediately followed by 20 squats and 12 push-ups. The PFT for females consists of a 1600 m run that a candidate needs to complete in 8 minutes, immediately followed by 15 squats and 10 bent knee sit-ups.
- Merit List: The merit list is prepared on the basis of performance in the written examination provided that the candidate passes the Physical Fitness Test.
Covid-19 Guidelines
- Given the risk of COVID-19, candidates must follow all instructions/ guidelines that the central/ state governments issue from time to time.
- At the entrance, if any candidate shows symptoms of influenza-like illness (ILI), the authorities will not allow him/her for the tests considering the safety of other persons.
