About Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas

The Government of India started the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas as per the National Policy of Education (1986). These schools are managed and governed by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. It is an autonomous organization functional under the Government of India. At present, a total number of 661 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are operational across 27 states and 8 Union Territories of India. Eligibility Criteria

Domicile: Only the candidates from the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission.

Date of Birth: The candidate seeking admission to class VI should have been born between 01 May 2010 and 30 April 2014. Candidates seeking admission to class IX should have been born between 01 May 2007 and 30 April 2011.

Educational Qualification: For class VI, the candidate must be studying in class V for the academic session 2022-23 in a Government or any recognized school. The candidate must successfully complete Class-V in the session 2022-23. For admission to class IX, the candidate must be studying in class VIII for the academic session 2022-23 in a Government or any recognized school. The candidate must qualify or pass Class-VIII in the session 2022-23.

How to prepare for the JNV entrance exam 2023?

Preparation for the JNV entrance exam requires:
