RMS Admission Process

The RMS admission process generally involves several steps. Here’s a broad overview:

1. Eligibility Criteria:
   • Age: Typically, boys and girls must be between 10 and 12 years old for admission to class 6 and 13-15 years old for admission to class 9, respectively, on 31 March of the year in which admission is taken.
   • Education: Candidates must have completed class 5 or class 8 respectively for admission to class 6 or 9.
2. Application Form:
   • Online: The application form can be filled out online  on the website https://apply-delhi.nielit.gov.in/
   • Documents: You must upload the necessary documents such as a photograph, signature, and candidate’s caste certificate.
3. Entrance Exam:
   • Subjects: The entrance exam for class 6 usually covers subjects like Mathematics, General Knowledge, Intelligence, and English.
   • Format: It is a written test which is a Computer-Based Exam (CBT) or online exam. From this year the test will be conducted online.
4. Interview:
   • Personal Interview: After the written exam, the next phase of the selection process is the personal interview to assess the candidate’s suitability.
5. Medical Examination in RMS admission process:
   • Health Check: Shortlisted candidates after personal interview will need to undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the health standards required for admission.
6. Merit List:
   • Selection: Based on the results of the written exam, interview, and medical test, a merit list is prepared. Candidates are selected based on their performance and the availability of seats.
7. Admission Formalities:
   • Document Verification: After clearing the above stages of the selection process, candidates need to present their documents in the required format for verification.
   • Fee Payment: Once selected, candidates need to complete the admission formalities, which include fee payment and submission of documents.
8. Orientation:
   • Starting School: There may be an orientation program to familiarize new students with the school environment and rules.
