About RIMC Exam
The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), established in 1922, is a premier institute in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It serves as a feeder institution to the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the Naval Academy, preparing young boys and girls for leadership roles in the Indian Armed Forces.
RIMC offers a holistic environment combining academics, sports, and military training. Cadets participate in extracurricular activities like debates, cultural programs, and sports while imbibing the values of discipline and patriotism.
Eligibility Criteria
Age: The Admission to the College is bi-annual i.e., in January and July each year. Candidates should not be less than 11 ½ years of age or must not have attained the age of 13 years on 01 (Jan) or 01 (July) of the term they join in. Admissions are made to Class VIII only.
To appear for the June 2025 exam candidates must be born between 02 Jan 2013 and 01 Jul 2014.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must be studying in Class VII or have passed Class VII from a recognized school at the time of joining. They should also be medically fit for entry to the College, in accordance with the medical standards prescribed.
For the June 2025 exam, the candidate must either be studying in class VII or passed class VII from any recognized school at the time of admission to RIMC i.e. on 01 Jan 2026.
Date of Exam: Twice a year in June and December.
The June 2025 exam will be held on Sunday, 01 June 2025.
