About Indian Navy
The Indian Navy is the naval branch of the Indian Armed Forces. The honorable President of India is the Supreme Commander of the Indian Navy. The main objective of the navy is to protect the nation’s maritime borders. The Indian Navy consists of approximately 67000 active personnel and 75000 reserve personnel. To further strengthen its forces, the Indian navy has released a vacancy notification for 500 posts of AA (Artificer Apprenticeship) and 2000 posts of SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit). Navy AA/SSR Exam Pattern or Scheme of Examination
The written examination for Navy AA and SSR consists of 100 questions. These 100 questions are divided into four sections namely, English, Mathematics, General Knowledge, and Science. Each section consists of 25 questions. Each question carries one mark. o.25 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. It is a computer-based test of one-hour duration. One important point to note is that the section of Science comprises questions mainly from Physics. Out of 25 questions, 21-22 questions are from Physics and the rest are from Chemistry and Biology. Hence, in order to clear the Navy AA/SSR examination, one has to be strong in Physics.
