The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the CAPF exam to recruit deserving candidates for the posts of Assistant Commandant (AC), Sub-Inspector, and Constable. The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) consists of seven forces. They are Assam Rifles (AR), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), National Security Guard (NSG), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). CAPF (AC) Recruitment
The Union Public Service Commission will release the official notification for the recruitment of 209 posts of Assistant Commandant on 20th April 2022. The notification will be available on the official website of UPSC https://upsc.gov.in
Candidates can apply online on the official website of UPSC https://upsconline.nic.in/ Online applications will start on 20 April 2022. The online application window will close on 10 April 2022. The examination is scheduled for 07 August 2022.
Who is eligible for CAPF Assistant Commandant 2022 Vacancy?
Educational Qualification: Male/females candidates who have passed the Bachelor’s degree examination with any discipline.
Age: The age of the candidate should be between 20 – 25 years as of 01 August 2022. The candidate must have been born between 02 August 1997 and 01 August 2002 (both dates inclusive).
Selection Procedure
The CAPF (Assistant Commandant) recruitment procedure is divided into four stages:
Stage 1: Written Examination
The CAPF written exam has two papers. Paper-I is that of General Ability and Intelligence and has a weightage of 250 mars. Paper-II for CAPF is that of General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension. It is descriptive in nature and has a total weightage of 200 marks. The preparation for CAPF Paper- I need a good knowledge of Current Affairs, General Science, History, Geography, Politics, and the Economy of India.
Stage 2: Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests
Candidates who qualify for the written examination need to go through the Physical Standards Tests (PST) where a candidate is checked for height, weight and chest. The minimum height required for male candidates is 165 cm and that for female candidates is 157 cm. The Physical Efficiency Test consists of

Stage 3: Interview and Personality Test
After qualifying for PST, PET, and medical tests candidates need to appear for the interview and personality tests.
Stage 4: Final Selection / Merit
The merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test.
