What is Territorial Army?
The Territorial Army is the second line of defence that comes after the regular army; it gives chance to interested candidates to help the nation by serving in uniform for 2-3 months every year in the times of national emergencies. The Territorial Army or TA bharti takes place as per the vacancies released by the Indian Army.
How to crack this exam?
To crack this exam a proper knowledge of the TA recruitment exam is a must. The recruitment takes place in two phases: Preliminary Interview Board (PIB) Written Exam and Preliminary Interview Board (PIB) Interview. The PIB written exam consists of two papers, Paper I has two parts which are Reasoning and Elementary Mathematics. Paper 2 has the General Knowledge and English section. Each paper has a weightage of 100 marks making it a total of 200 marks. Each question carries 1 mark. The TA bharti exam is an offline, pen-paper based examination. The examination takes place on Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheets. The question paper will be in English language and the time duration for each paper is 2 hours. Minimum marks to qualify each section are 40% and overall marks are 50%.

Selection Process
The screening process is the first stage of the TA bharti selection process. The candidates are shortlisted after the completion of the application process. The candidates during the screening process ought to appear for a written examination and followed by an interview which is conducted by Preliminary Interview Board from the respective Territorial Army Group Headquarters. The final stage for TA recruitment is the conduction of different tests for all the candidates who qualified for the interview and written test. The shortlisted candidates than undergo tests at the five-day-long Service Selection Board (SSB) interview and Medical Board. After this the candidate gets selected in the Territorial Army.
