| SELECTION PROCESS |
The Indian Army selects candidates for post of Territorial Army in two stages |

STAGE 1 : In this stage of selection process, candidates will have to go through following test at the Rally venue

STAGE 2 : Candidates qualifying Stage 1 will be called to appear for Stage 2. Stage 2 will include
|
Selected candidates : Selected candidates will get their joining letters and will have to report for Training, after which they will join the Indian Army as Soldier in Territorial Army. They will be enrolled in departmental Territorial Army units such as railway, IOC, ONGC, telecommunication and General Hospital, and the non-departmental Territorial Army units of infantry battalions and ecological battalions affiliated to various infantry regiments.

| Age : Male candidates of age 18 to 42 Years |

Educational Qualification : Education Qualification for different posts is as follows

| Physical Qualification : Height (min.) – 170 cm (Subject to residing state and ARO), Weight (min.) – 50 Kg, Chest (min.)– 77 (+5 cm expansion).Relaxation in physical standards will be provided to candidates coming from North Eastern States and Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh. Additional Relaxation might be granted to wards of service men/ex-servicemen/war widow and exceptional sports person. |
| Physical Fitness Test (PFT) : Candidates meeting physical standards will progress to Physical Fitness Test of Stage 1 at rally site. The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will be of 100 marks divided as 60 marks for 1.6 km run ( for candidates coming in first enclosure) and 40 marks for Beam Pull Ups ( maximum of 40 marks for 10 Pull Ups) and two qualifying events of 9 feet Ditch Jump and walking over a Zig-Zag Balance. |
| Medical Examination : Candidates clearing the Physical Fitness Test will appear for medical examination. Indian Army wants candidates who are physically fit and mentally strong. Medical Examination will include test for vision and hearing, knock knees, bone deformity, hydrocele, varicocele, piles and other diseases. Unfit candidates will have to appear at MH/CH/BH/GH for specialist review. |

Document Verification : Candidates are required to carry certain documents which will be verified at the Rally Venue. Candidates need to carry the documents in original along with two attested photo copies at venue, failing to do so might result in rejection. Please carry the following documents

Written Test : Candidates qualifying Stage 1 will be called to appear for Common Entrance Examination (CEE).The paper will be Objective in nature and printed both in English and Hindi. It will consist of 50 Questions (2 Marks each) making total of 100 Marks to be attempted in 1 hour. Paper will have questions from four sections, Check the paper pattern below

Merit List : merit list will be based on marks obtained in PFT and written examination.
