About Rashtriya Military School

Rashtriya Military Schools are category ‘A’ establishment of the Army. They are administrated by the Directorate General of Military Training at IHQ (Integrated Head Quarter) of Ministry of Defence MOD(Army). These institutions are headed by the Defence Secretary. Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification: For admission to Class VI, the candidates should have passed Class V or be studying in Class V and pass it before the date of admission to a Rashtriya Military School. For admission in Class IX, the candidate should have passed Class VIII from a government/recognized school before the date of admission to a Rashtriya Military School. However, candidates studying in Class V and Class VIII are eligible to appear in the respective Entrance Test.

Age: Boys & Girls aged between 10-12 years as on 31 March 2023 (born between 01 April 2011 to 31 March 2013, both days inclusive) for admission in Class VI and Boys (only) aged between 13-15 years as on 31 March 2023 (born between 01 April 2008 to 31 March 2010, both days inclusive) for admission in Class IX.
